DETAILED ITINERARY

PART 1: THE NORTHERN PILGRIMAGE — NEGOMBO TO TRINCOMALEE (DAY 1-2)

DAY 1

Arrival & Negombo

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, where our representative greets you. Transfer to Negombo for a short rest. Visit Munneswaram Temple, where Lord Rama prayed to Lord Shiva, and Manavari Temple, the only site where Rama installed a Shiva Lingam.

Overnight in Negombo.

DAY 2

Negombo to Chilaw to Trincomalee

After breakfast, travel to Trincomalee. En route, stop at Thirukoneswaram Temple, built by Sage Agasthyar and worshipped by Lord Rama. Explore the Kanniya Hot Springs, linked to Ravana's legend. End the day relaxing at Nilaveli Beach.

PART 2: CULTURAL TRIANGLE — SIGIRIYA & KANDY (DAY 3-4)

DAY 3

Trincomalee to Dambulla to Sigiriya

Begin with a visit to Shankari Devi Temple, one of the revered Shakti Peethas. Later, climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, believed to be King Ravana's palace.

Sigiriya to Kandy

Travel via Dambulla to see the Golden Cave Temple. Stop at a spice and herbal garden, then visit Sri Muthumariamman Temple in Matale. Continue to Kandy to see the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, stroll around Kandy Lake, and enjoy a cultural dance performance.

PART 3: HIGHLANDS & SOUTH — NUWARA ELIYA TO GALLE (DAY 5-8)

DAY 5

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

Drive through scenic tea country to Nuwara Eliya. Visit Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple in Ramboda, pause at Ramboda Falls, and explore Sita Amman Temple near the site of Sita's captivity. Stroll through Hakgala Botanical Garden, linked to Ravana's Ashok Vatika.

Nuwara Eliya to Ella

After breakfast, visit Divurumpola Temple, where Sita's fire test took place. Continue to Ella to explore Ravana Ella Caves and admire Ravana Falls.

Ella to Kataragama

Travel to Kataragama. Visit the Kataragama Temple, dedicated to Lord Murugan, and Sella Kataragama, associated with Hanuman's journey.

Kataragama to Ussangoda to Galle

Proceed to Galle, stopping at Ussangoda, believed to be one of Ravana's ancient airports, and Rumassala Hill, said to be part of the Himalayan Sanjeevani Mountain. Explore the colonial charm of Galle Fort.

PART 4: COLOMBO & DEPARTURE (DAY 9-10)

DAY 9

Galle to Colombo

Travel to Colombo. Visit Kelaniya Temple, where Vibishana was crowned, and the Anjaneyar Temple, Sri Lanka's only Hanuman shrine. Enjoy a Colombo city tour covering Independence Square, Galle Face Green, Lotus Tower, and Gangaramaya Temple.

Colombo to Departure
